Description

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community.

Kellyhouse sits on beautiful property that houses a babbling brook, a garden waiting to be put to good use, and is called home by twelve gentlemen of various ages. We are extremely close to a shopping area which the gentlemen love to patronize. The residents enjoy Xbox, Wii, shopping, going out to eat, and visiting various establishments of interest. Some supervision of ADLs is needed but most are independent in many areas of life skills. Would you be interested in joining them to enhance their skills, independence, and even areas of interest? A high school diploma or GED is desired. Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment. Training will also include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.

HOURS: 20 hours weekly - Friday 2p-10p & Saturday 8:30a-8:30p

Starting Salary: $18.44 - $20.29 per hour with additional shift differential as applicable

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred

  • Acceptable NYS Driver's License

  • Computer skills
