Description

TheDirect Support Professional (DSP)provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community.

Day Servicesare available to all adults during daytime hours, giving you the opportunity to join with people who are like-minded and can appreciate shared experiences. Along with learning, developing, an building on skills. There are also trips taken are the library, museums and Putnam County’s many parks and trails.

A high school diploma or GED is desired. Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment. Training will also include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.

HOURS: 37.5 hours weekly - Monday thru Friday 8:00a-3:30p

Starting Salary: $17.94 - $19.74 per hour

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred

  • Acceptable NYS Driver's License

  • Computer skills
