Asylum Seekers Welcome To Apply! We are looking for motivated folks to join our Canine Care team. Our team of amazing people are dedicated to promoting A Kinder World Through Dog Training. Instinct's Canine Care team works closely together with members of our Training teams to provide a positive experience to our clients and their dogs. Dogs coming to stay at Instinct are enrolling in training camps, coming back to us for alumni boarding, or they are doing daycare with a personal touch and extremely low dog to staff ratio. This role is detail oriented. You must be comfortable with dogs of all sizes with various behavioral issues. You need to have a strong interest in canine behavior, work well in a team, and want to help people. Dogs are Family, so joining our Instinct team means holding the responsibility for doing the right thing, always, with the dogs in our care.

Job Duties : - Multiple Relief Walks during the day (potty stalls & play yards onsite). - Daily meals & medications (all dogs are fed individually in their kennels). - Daily Body Checks. - Supervise approved dog play groups and provide individual playtime for specific dogs. - Follow safety protocols for dog handling and cleaning instructions. - Strong, positive communication skills interacting with our clients. Our Care team writes camper updates, conducts drop-offs & pick-ups for most of the dog stays (camp, boarding, etc). As needed the Care team will email and call clients for Care related needs. - Log of behavioral health & care for each dog. This includes logging relief walks, play time, eating habits, grooming and overall health and hygiene. -General cleaning of kennels, and training facility as well as basic bathing of dogs when required.

Skills / Qualifications : - Able to be trained and implement feedback. -Experience with dog handling (shelter, rescue, daycare, etc). On the job training provided but candidate needs to be comfortable and have experience around dogs of all sizes. -Ability to understand canine body language in an individual and group setting. -Great attitude and ready do a wide variety of jobs to assist trainers. -Great team player. Teamwork and communication are necessary. - Hard worker. There is very little down time here and candidate must like to keep busy and shouldn't mind dirty jobs. -Punctual. Zero tolerance for candidates who cannot show up on time, every day. We are a business that provides a service to people's family members. This is a 24/7, 365 business and require responsible and professional team members to show up each day. Work Hours: From 7 am-10 pm; Total Hours per week 20 - 40 with overtime available.
