CNO Financial Group Financial Reporting Analyst in Carmel, Indiana

Salary Range : $57,900 - $86,900 Annual

Job Details

The stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is bonus eligible.

CNO Financial Group’s Accounting Department is hiring an Accounting and Financial Reporting Analyst to coordinate the accounting, reporting and financial statement preparation for assigned business entities within CNO Financial Group.

This is your opportunity to work collaboratively with various Accounting, Finance and Enterprise departments.

As an Accounting and Financial Reporting Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining the books and records to support the accounting for several legal entities on both a GAAP and statutory basis, as applicable.

  • Preparing a statement of cash flows for each entity.

  • Documenting and reconciliation must be sufficient to support review by either Internal Audit or our external auditors.

  • Responding to auditor requests.

  • Preparing journal entities, elimination entries and reconciliations with support that provides adequate audit evidence.

  • Providing documentation and analysis that supports the needs of the Manager.

  • Identifying potential issues for review with the Manager.

  • Providing input to explain significant fluctuations between actual results for the current and prior year for several entities.

  • Accumulating accounting and financial information.

  • Maintaining strong internal control environment which meets SOX objectives.

  • Preparing the consolidated statutory financial statements and monitoring compliance with various state statutes.

  • Preparing various statutory and state filings on an annual and quarterly basis.

The Accounting and Financial Reporting Analyst position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Can clear and resolve basic accounting problems.

  • Work well independently and in a team.

  • Analyze problems and implement solutions.

  • Have good attention to detail

  • Hold outstanding understanding of accounting principles.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

  • One year of professional experience in accounting.

What will set you apart:

  • Insurance industry experience.

  • CPA or working towards CPA.

  • Prior experience with Oracle and/or Hyperion.

  • Candidate location in Central or Eastern US time zone is preferred OR willingness to work Central or Eastern time zone business hours.

Pay Range: $57,900.00 - $86,900.00 Annual
