At MISO, we are dedicated to advancing procurement contracting practices to deliver strategic value while ensuring adherence to the highest legal, financial, security, and organizational standards. As a Contract Management Lead , you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the full procurement contract lifecycle, leading cross-functional teams in negotiating and executing contracts with suppliers, championing compliance with organizational policies and procedures, and taking a team of contracting professionals to the next level.

In one year as the Contract Management Lead, you will know you were successful if you:

  • Provided mentorship, coaching, and support to contract management staff, empowering them to maximize their potential through targeted guidance and professional development opportunities.

  • Enhanced MISO’s procurement contracting practices. Established an agile contracting capability that accelerates time-to-value through flexible processes that provides a balance between opportunity, cost, risk, and speed aligned to the priorities unique to each project.

  • Lead cross-functional teams through complex, high-value contract negotiations to procure innovative, industry leading solutions needed to reliably manage the grid of the future.

  • Advised staff and stakeholders on contractual rights, obligations, and risks, ensuring well-informed decision-making processes across MISO.

We are looking for someone who possesses the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Management, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 3 years in Procurement Contract Management or related field, preferably 8 years.

  • Minimum 3 years leading cross-functional teams in complex procurement contract negotiations.

  • At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience preferred.

  • Previous energy sector experience preferred.

Appropriate level will be determined based on experience and knowledge.
