WITHIN YOUR TEAM

As Sr. Director of Marketing at Pantone, you will leverage your marketing expertise and work closely with the senior leadership team to develop and implement marketing strategies that would help Pantone reach its strategic business objectives. You will be a hands-on and involved marketing and brand leader, exhibiting a high level of leadership in communication, emotional intelligence, and a strong business-driving, yet servant-leader mindset, with extensive marketing (including digital marketing) expertise as you manage a team and influence other cross-functional leaders and team members. You will be responsible for developing and executing marketing plans that generate demand for Pantone products and services, enhance brand awareness and engagement while safeguarding our beloved brand, and deepen our understanding and relationships with our customers. You are analytical, and you take a data driven, results-oriented approach to decision-making.

This position is responsible for (1) executing strategies to drive demand generation that fuels both short-term and sustainable long-term growth, (2) working closely with Pantone’s product and regional teams to drive growth in global markets, (3) support Pantone’s digital transformation and continue to advance Pantone’s internal processes and technologies, and (4) support budgeting recommendation and allocation of resources for marketing activities to ensure effective and efficient use of resources while achieving maximum impact and ROI.

THIS JOB IS A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO:

WITHIN YOUR ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Lead implementation of marketing strategies and tactics to drive market demand growth for Pantone’s portfolio of solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional global teams to ensure cohesive and integrated marketing efforts that drive results.

  • Lead the development of a robust marketing calendar with compelling, impactful, and brand consistent campaigns that are resonant with target audiences. Collaborate with product, regional, and channel teams to develop and articulate Pantone’s brand and product stories.

  • Work closely with Finance and the President to develop the marketing budget and deliver cost-effective marketing campaigns.

  • Monitor and analyze marketing campaign performance, using data and insights to evaluate effectiveness and identify areas for continuous improvement and facilitating data-driven decision-making. Work closely with finance, web, sales operations, and data teams to develop comprehensive dashboards and reporting frameworks to track the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and ensure alignment with business objectives. Provide regular reports and recommendations to Pantone President/GM and internal stakeholders.

  • Lead, inspire, and empower a high-performing team of marketing professionals and cultivate a culture of growth, developing them to achieve exceptional results. Champion succession planning initiatives to identify and develop future leaders, ensuring a continuous pipeline of talent to drive the Company's long-term success.

  • Manage Digital Marketing team and partner closely with eCommerce and Web teams to identify new initiatives and improvement areas that would provide seamless and user-friendly digital experiences and drive optimal engagement and conversion rates across various digital platforms and touchpoints.

  • Work with internal and external teams to drive the strategy, planning and execution of lead-gen and digital marketing activities. This includes website content to support traffic and conversion goals, editorial planning, content development, paid ads, paid and earned media, SEO/SEM, social media and community management, email marketing, etc.

  • Collaborate closely with the Sales teams to develop sales strategy and materials for different client industries and call points, advise on sell-in and reseller sell-out strategies, and identify new sources of sales leads.

  • Advise internal partner marketing team on how to best support client needs. Provide necessary support to ensure the Pantone teams deliver to client needs.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Digital Strategy and Product Development teams and support strategic initiatives that allow for the continuous development of new products and markets for the Company.

  • Act as a brand advocate internally and externally. Execute brand guidelines to ensure a cohesive brand experience across all audience touchpoints.

  • Promote continuous cross-departmental collaboration and be an excellent communicator to ensure 360 alignment on critical business decisions and status and results of projects.

  • Collaborate with the Pantone leadership team to design the future state of customer service and engagement. Potentially build and lead a new organization.

  • Stay current with the latest marketing trends and technologies and provide thought leadership to the organization.

  • Provide ad-hoc support to President on special projects including inorganic growth activities.

YOUR EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE WILL INCLUDE:

  • At least 10 years of progressive marketing experience required with senior leadership experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Computer Sciences, or related degree. Advanced degree and/or MBA is highly preferred.

  • Extensive experience in brand management as well as all digital and non-digital marketing channels with proven track record in driving customer growth and revenue for the company.

  • Experience managing marketing budget and expenditures in a cost-conscious way and proving ROI.

  • Experience in digital transformation a plus

  • Is highly comfortable with fast-paced and matrixed environments with ability to articulate complex marketing concepts and strategies to gain buy-in across diverse stakeholders.

  • Is highly responsive, detail-oriented and well organized with ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

  • Has the ability to address escalations and resolve problems based on a data-driven approach, as well as listening and understanding of stakeholder needs
