ABCO Systems, LLC. Conveyor Service Technician Trainee in Carlstadt, New Jersey
We are looking for candidates that are interested in training to become a Conveyor Service Technician. We perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot service conveyor systems at customer sites, perform preventative maintenance. Job Description: • Repair and adjust conveyor systems using hand tools and power tools • Install belts in machinery, tighten bolts, adjust tension rolls, straighten parts, align rollers and replace defective parts • Perform preventive maintenance and provide customer support • Possess the ability to install, repair, service, test and troubleshoot an assortment of equipment • Fill out detailed reports and keep records on services that have been performed • Explain issues with equipment and repairs to customers and management, when necessary • Build and maintain relationships with customers • Basic electrical troubleshooting • Be a Safety Champion - Will lead create and maintain a safe workspace Requirements: • Ability to work flexible hours and work around regular hours for emergency calls • Ability to work as a member of a team • Ability to effectively manage time • Willing to learn and take direction on job sites • Must be able to meet physical requirements of the job, which include bending, lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation • Fluent in English, Spanish language skills are a plus You will learn the following systems: • MDR Conveyor • Live Roller Conveyor • Inclines / Declines • Belt Driven Roller / Chain Driven Roller • Belt Conveyor • Trash Conveyor • Line-shaft Conveyor • Sorters - Narrow Belt / UBT / Shoe Sorters • Bombay Sorters, Tilt Tray Sorters • Monorail / Power and Free • VRC’s • Truck Loaders / UnloadersWe are looking for candidates that are interested in training to become a Conveyor Service Technician.
