How you will make an impact:

The Senior Program Manager is responsible for the initiation, development and execution of assigned projects for the Analytical Instruments Group. Projects will include application and infrastructure deployments and upgrades, digital transformations as well as enterprise wide initiatives. They will work closely with the Shared Services and AIG Business Leads to ensure the successful completion of projects on time and within budget. The PM will report into the AIG Infrastructure and ITSM Senior Manager.

What you will do:

  • Run consistent engagement with Enterprise Shared Services teams on technology decisions and refresh cycles, to meet the needs of the AIG business; guiding business in all Enterprise IT standards (Technology Security assessment forms; Shared Service Intake forms, etc.).

  • Acting as a liaison between AIG business and IT (Corporate IT and AIG) partners.

  • Ensure project targets are met by actively running projects on a day to day basis through appropriate resource, issue, and risk management

  • Assist or own the development of business requirements, solution design & delivery, testing and training

  • Follow the IPC Project Management Framework and corporate processes to execute projects ensuring compliance with all work and stage gate reviews

  • Utilise and coordinate Planview PPM to ensure the accurate tracking of project activities ensuring that project status is evergreen.

  • Follow company’s Global IT Policies & Procedures

  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work

  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project

  • Conduct project post mortems and build reports in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements

How you will get here:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Project Management or Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience acceptable

  • PMP certification or equivalent desired


  • 7+ years of related experience running IT projects preferred

  • Experience in delivery of successful enterprise wide projects

  • Strong familiarity with project management standards and methodologies including PMI Body of Knowledge

  • Proficiency in Agile / Scrum methodologies; SAFe experience is a plus

  • Ability to balance the long-term ("big picture") and short-term implications of individual decisions

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability to understand the final result and to translate that result into meaningful steps

  • Ability to lead a matrixed team to complete projects on time

  • Proven conflict resolution skills

  • Good interpersonal and excellent documentation skills are a must

  • Ability to explain and champion technical concepts to a broad audience

  • Advanced knowledge in creating and maintaining management level and detailed project plans utilizing Microsoft products

  • Excellent critical thinking, crisis management, decision-making and customer service skills required

  • Self-motivated and independent

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Experience working in a shared services environment

  • Strong analytical skills required, including a detailed understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse global group, executives, managers, and domain experts

  • Good attention to detail, interpersonal skills and time management skills

  • Experience in running large complex projects

  • Experience in data analytics, Power Bi, etc. is beneficial
