If so, then the Semi-Skilled Laborer position at Kings Gap Environmental Education Center might just be the perfect job for you! DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will either work independently or assist a skilled worker in performing routine tasks related to the maintenance and improvement of a state park. This includes making minor repairs to buildings and primitive structures, taking care of the grounds, cleaning restrooms, and ensuring overall cleanliness of the park's facilities. Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance, care, and cleaning of vehicles and equipment used within the park. Your duties will also involve constructing basic forms for cement work using carpenter tools, as well as mixing, placing, and finishing cement using mason tools. Furthermore, you will be involved in the construction of stone and block walls. Another aspect of your role will be performing ground maintenance tasks such as mowing or cutting weeds and grass using various tools like push mowers, trimmers, blowers, and riding mowers. You will also actively participate in and support the park's safety and employee right-to-know programs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Seasonal Full-time employment without benefits. Shift hours and days vary due to operational need, with a 30-minute lunch Weekends, holidays and all shifts as needed at 37.5 hours per week Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
