Job Description:

Job Description Summary:

  • Provide on-site project management, which includes – scheduling, assigning, and verifying completion of all day-to-day activities associated with the implementation of the VoIP system.

  • Supervise a team of installers, engineers, and sub-contractors to ensure completion of all assigned tasks.

  • Monitor project performance against established schedule and cost baselines.

  • Ensure tasks are completed on-time, according to the project schedule.

  • Identify issues, prioritize, and judge criticality, resolve, or escalate to Implementation Manager for resolution.

  • Prepare weekly status reports, facilitate weekly, monthly and/or quarterly status stakeholder briefings; brief USG customers and program manager; prepare meeting minutes.

  • Prepare contract deliverables, ensuring complete accuracy and on-time delivery to the customer.

  • Report personnel status to the Implementation Manager with timely escalation of issues that impact project schedule. Understand and ensure all members of the on-site team comply with health and safety guidelines of the installation (this includes monitoring guidelines associated with COVID-19 response). Escalate any issues that cannot be resolved promptly to the Implementation Manager.

  • Monitor and report on the performance of sub-contract personnel assigned to the project.

  • Maintain accountability for all property associated with the project until transferred to USG property books.

  • Provide support, as needed, for on-site technical management, Quality Assurance, and installation.

Skills

  • Ability to communicate above, below and across the organization and ensure proper relationships are established and maintained with customers, stakeholders, vendors, and the Program Management Office to facilitate the delivery of information and situational awareness.

  • Ability to analyze, organize and summarize data to ensure accurate records and reporting are maintained throughout the project life cycle.

  • Ability to manage project activities using standard productivity tools such as MS Project, SharePoint, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Visio.

  • Ability to identify, monitor, and report on project risk; identify and respond to risk triggers; implement risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • Possess an understanding of DoD IT Networks, Services and Programs such as NETMOD, MPLS, ICAN, DSN and Voice over IP systems.

  • Possess hands-on experience with DoD IT network and telecommunications deployments, upgrades, and integrations.

  • Current Secret clearance.

  • BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of related work experience.
