THIS ROLE IS LOCATED AT: 1490 Dennison Cir, Carlisle, PA 17013

2ND SHIFT HOURS: 03:00pm-11:30pm

Responsible for determining work schedule via work board instructions and by receiving direction from Lead Team Member and Supervisor; filling and completing customer orders according to specified instructions; updating and confirming items in SAP utilizing Viad@t; operating pallet wrapper; breaking down incoming pallets and separating by product and/or designated area; combining orders with same ship identification numbers (ID); loading coils and bundles on trucks; performing 5S activities; and assisting and answering questions of DC Team Member I and II as necessary.

*Must have the ability to make necessary transactions in the WMS, on a desktop or with RF gun, along with system trouble shooting pertaining to the said transactions of the job function. *

Must be licensed and proficient in numerous material handling equipment including sit down Forklift, Stand-up counterbalance forklift.  Man up order picker, ride on Pallet Jack, Reach Truck, and multi directional fork trucks.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS

Daily Schedule

  • Determines daily work schedule via work board instructions and upon receiving direction from Lead Team Member and Supervisor.

Receiving, Sorting and Staging

  • Unloads shipment from truck utilizing forklift or pallet jack; reads labels to determine designated storage or staging location; combines and separates shipment into individual pallets based on product and/or ship ID numbers; confirms order quantities with packing lists; inputs information into SAP utilizing Viad@t.
  • Utilizes a forklift or reach truck to transport pallets from receiving and production areas to designated storage and staging locations.

Replenishment

  • Identifies products and containers for replenishment; scans containers and transports pallets, utilizing a forklift or reach truck, to designated storage location.

Picking, Packing and SPS Shipping

  • Picks inventory and places in containers; transports to packing lanes; verifies quantity matches with scanner instructions; moves product into final shipping container; labels container to create final shipping unit; confirms into SAP utilizing Viad@t; transports to designated shipping area; ensures orders are accurate and efficient, according to company's established guidelines and standards.
  • Shippers are responsible for making sure all shipments and orders are packed onto trucks according to bills of lading and information is updated in SAP utilizing Viad@t.
  • Scans and picks coils and fittings utilizing order picker according to customer orders.
  • Picks and labels straight lengths; transports to shipping docks utilizing forklift.

Put Away

  • Scans pallets and inventory into receiving to determine where products are to be stored; transports product accordingly utilizing forklift or reach truck.

Returns/Bookings

  • Receives returns; verifies quantities match with documen ation; confirms items in SAP utilizing Viad@t; updates and makes notes as necessary; prints and attaches updated label; returns product to designated storage area.

Cleaning and Area Upkeep

  • Maintains clean work environment; may perform 5S activities (sort, straighten, shine, standardize, and sustain) to organize and manage distribution center.

Other

  • Answers questions and assists DC Team Member I and II as needed.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

     

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must have accurate counting and math skills.
  • Knowledge of computer programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook, SAP
  • Knowledge of proper lifting techniques
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems
  • Ability to read and understand information presented
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment, including forklift, pallet jack, etc.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy or bulky items weighing 50 pounds or more
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to perform with superior service, reflecting a positive company image while sustaining a positive attitude with those you interact with; always going above and beyond to help others out, regardless of their position or department
  • Ability to adhere to the highest standards of quality while continually performing at the highest possible level

Education, Certification/License & Work Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 6 - 17 months of related experience
  • Warehouse Management Systems experience preferred
  • Lean experience preferred

Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
