DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Job Summary:Performs functions related to driving vehicles to transport passengers to various locations. Position requires strong interpersonal skills and compassion and respect for persons with disabilities. Essential Functions:  * Operate a 44 Passenger bus daily  * Transport passengers to various destinations  * Comply with bus service schedule established in contract with the Government  * Ensure identifying markers/signs are on outside of vehicle  * Assist passengers as needed with luggage  * Maintain required reports including daily rider count and trip/mileage log  * Work without assistance to complete assignments  * Use and care for equipment properly following all safety requirements  * Use technology for the completion of specified job duties  * Attend work regularly according to assigned work schedule  * Follow instructions and comply with contract specifications  * Attend and participate in all meetings and activities to facilitate professional development  * Work cooperatively with others in a positive, enthusiastic, respectful, and courteous manner  * Pass and comply with rules for the site, security and safety guidelines, and Chimes District of Columbia Rules for the Workplace, and ensure others do the same

Secondary Functions:  * Perform other duties and tasks as needed

Other requirements:  * Valid driver's license from state of residence and ability to drive  * Class B CDL with Passenger Endorsement  * License must have been valid for at least 3 years  * Acceptable driving record as determined by Agency's insurance carrier and by Chimes DC policies and procedures  * Bus driver must be at least 25 years old  * Candidates with disabilities prefer ed  * US Citizenship required

Education:  * High School diploma or equivalent preferred  * Class B CDL with Passenger Endorsement  * Knowledge of safety and environmental requirements associated with tasks performed  * Knowledge of governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals or other established guidelines

Experience:  * Experience driving bus preferred
