Carlisle Interconnect Technologies Accountant in Carlisle, Pennsylvania

The Accountant classifies, records and reviews data to keep financial records complete. The Accountant provides consolidation, accounting, and analytical support for Carlisle Construction Materials; assists with month-end financial statements, analysis, account reconciliations, lease accounting, and quarterly reporting requirements. Standard hours of operation will be Monday- Friday, 8 am to 5pm.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for driving efficiency related to all aspects of lease accounting:

  • communication and alignment with procurement team

  • implement lease accounting policies for new acquisitions
  • Entire process from recording financial transaction for leasing accounting requirements
  • Reconciliations of leasing general ledger accounts
  • Monthly journal entry preparation and posting
  • Analyze month-end financial statements
  • Complete monthly and quarterly account reconciliations assuring documentation supports balance
  • Preparation of Electronic Audit Evidence (EAE) documentation for compliance
  • Preparation of support for internal and external audits
  • Management of currency hedging requirements

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Essential Full Performance Knowledge:

  • General Accepted Accounting Principles

  • Financial statement preparation and analysis
  • Awareness of Sarbanes-Oxley Act and internal control requirements
  • Essential Full Performance Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office programs

  • Communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to organize work to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work with accounting software (SAP)
  • Analytical skills
  • Essential Full Performance Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate information and ideas

  • Ability to choose the right methods or formulas for problem solving

Education and Experience:

  • Required:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in public/private accounting
