The qualified candidate will be responsible for managing an automated CI test suite that performs end to end testing of our enterprise scale device management solution that involves multiple complex software packages and integrations with cloud services enabling RFID Reader configuration.

You will need to design, document and implement test cases to fully exercise software features developed by the team, this will involve mocking external end points where required.

While the majority of the testing will be automated, you will also be a required to perform some manual testing from time to time.

You will also be required to compile test reports and feedback any bug reports to the team as well as maintaining the CI environment.

An ideal candidate should have open mind set, be flexible, focused on quality and open to switching to different projects, we work in multinational environment so communicative English in speaking and writing is a must.

As our Software Test Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by:

  • You will design and build automated test cases for an enterprise scale device management solution involving multiple complex software packages and integrations with cloud services.

  • You will contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of the Continuous Integration Environment.

  • You will be managing test documentation using Test Rail.

  • You will generate test reports and communicate bug reports to the rest of the team.

  • When necessary, you will need to perform some manual testing with reader hardware.

    What we will love about your background:

  • You will have 2 years’ experience working in a software development environment.

  • You have experience of defining test cases based on feature requirements and managing the product test plan.

  • Have experience of writing automated test scripts using a Java SDK in order to perform API testing.

  • Experience of testing Java applications using JUnit, TestNg, Mockito, and dbUnit.

  • You have experience of performing end to end testing using the Selenium Web Driver.

  • Knowledge of Artifactory and Nexus repositories along with Maven and Nuget artifacts management.

  • Working knowledge of test methodologies such as Data Driven Testing, Behaviour Driven testing, etc.

  • You have demonstrable knowledge of API structures XML, JSON, or similar.

  • Some experience of automating UI testing using Javascript and Playwright would also be beneficial.

    Your Qualifications and Experience include:

  • Legally eligible to work in the UK.

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (engineering, computer science) or demonstrative equivalent experience.
