Teacher Assistant

 

The opportunity: The Teacher Assistant supports the lead teachers in providing academic, enrichment, and social emotional lessons; as well as leads scholar development, guidance, and discipline.

Successful applicants are those seeking to enhance their ability in the classroom and have experience in small group instruction and mentorship.

The Details 

Key Deliverables: 

  • Ability to work the entirety of the program (including attending training prior to program start)

  • Support daily lesson delivery in both morning academics and afternoon enrichment.

  • Manage the class in absence of a teacher and/or during lunch and recess activities.

  • Foster positive relationships and serve as a mentor to the students in their assigned class. 

     

    Experience and Education Requirements : 

  • 1+ years experience working in a school, community based-youth program, or academic tutoring program preferred

  • Experience working in platforms such as Google and Microsoft Office Suites preferred

  • Experience working with children a plus
