ADP Report Writing and Integration Advisor in Cape Town, South Africa

ADP South Africa is looking for a Report Writing and Integration Advisor.

*The role is hybrid and can be based in either CAPE TOWN OR PRETORIA*

THE ROLE:

The team is completely responsible for the end-to-end development of bespoke reports as per client requirements, developed in SQL & VBA.

This role supports Sage Premier & Sage300 People.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The main responsibilities of this role are analysing client requirements, creating reports using SQL & VBA, and testing

  • Generate and analyse reports for transformation from Sage Premier to Sage300 People

  • Prepare bespoke specification document as per C#, SQL & VBA coding and maintenance of C#, SQL scripts & VBA on an ongoing basis

  • Analyse errors or issues/changes and fix C#, SQL & VBA coding as per requirement

  • Collaborate with the product team for faster resolution of defects

  • Interact with clients and understand their requirements

  • Amend existing SQL queries for performance improvements

SKILLSETS REQUIRED:

  • Expert in SQL – Data Query Language (DQL) Commands

  • Minimum of 3 -5 years’ development experience

  • Experience in: Conditional selects / Subqueries / Multi-Table queries / Joins / Aggregate & string functions / Unions / Common Table Expression

  • Use of Window Functions

  • C# knowledge

  • Experience in VBA (Excel refresh and macro reports)

  • Manual Testing Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to deliver projects on time and with the highest quality

  • Good communication skills to collaborate with different teams

  • Qualification BSc (Computers) or equivalent

  • Knowledge of DBMS and RDBMS concepts
