Production Supervisor - 1st Shift

Requirements:

  • Bachelors' Degree in Engineering
  • 2+ year's supervisory experience
  • Leadership skills.
  • Decision-making skills
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Computer literacy - Microsoft experience required; SAP or similar ERP experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Salt processing business preferred.
  • Manufacturing Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Direct supervision of production employees.
  • Conduct dailymeetings with operators to review the production plan and any safety, environmental orquality issues.
  • Conduct and/or participate in incident investigations.
  • Implement corrective actions based on audit non-conformanceand customer complaints.
  • Schedule production to facilitate the shipment demands.
  • Use SAP to release to produce and technically complete production.
  • Coordinates resources of production (manpower, raw material, inventory, equipment condition) to ensure production needs are met in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Review finished goods inventory and all production related paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
  • Use Redzone Software to accurately track production and compliance on a shift basis.
  • Responsible for ensuring all direct reports complete monthly safety training and schedule make up sessions.
  • Complete required safety permits, train direct reports on requirements and ensure compliance to policies.
  • Help coordinates activities between three production shifts.
  • Provides daily and weekly production reports.
  • Provides leadership to drive continuous improvements in product quality. Understand the importance of productsafety, legality, and quality - Informs the Safety Manager, General Manager, Quality Manager of any issues.
  • Completes weekly time and attendance for employees in UltiPro software.
  • Track attendance, performance, and complete performance reviews for direct reports.
  • Inputs and follow up on work orders for facility maintenance through the Maintenance Management System.
