REPORTS TO:Clinical Development Manager

RATE OF PAY:$40.00 per hour

WORK SCHEDULE:25 - 29 hours scheduled hours per week, Monday - Friday, variable shifts between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. No evenings, weekends, or major holidays. This position is classified as per diem and will provide coverage from July 2024 - January 2025.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering quality patient care through the nursing process of assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patients at Community Health Center of the North Country.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adheres to statutory and regulatory requirements regarding certification and quality of health care.

  • Conducts and assists medical providers and personnel with primary care services.

  • Documents patient care services by charting in patient’s electronic medical record.

  • Maintains patient confidentiality and protects operations by keeping information confidential.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.

  • Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare teams by communicating information, responding to requests, building rapport, and participating in team problem-solving methods.

  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.

  • Conducts all clinical and medical services as requested

  • Cooperates and performs nursing duties on an as-needed basis for other areas of the health center.

  • Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Registered Nursing Certification with experience in community nursing.

  • Current BLS certification.

  • Proficient oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and planning skills.

  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with others.

  • Exhibits a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in dealing with issues.

  • Excellent computer skills. Electronic medical record experience preferred.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs., lift and support patients with and without help.

  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.

  • Regular exposure to infectious diseases, blood, airborne pathogens, needle sticks, hygiene issues, and other odors.

  • Able to tolerate clinical smells.

  • Ability to read digital readouts, recognize colors, and operate necessary medical equipment.
