As an Allocation Analyst on our Planning and Allocation Team, you will play a key role in maximizing the initial and subsequent distribution of product to our stores for assigned category of merchandise. You will partner closely with Merchant and Planning business partners to translate product strategy, ensure equitable inventory allocations and help develop allocation plans that improve the financial results for their assigned merchandise categories.

As an Allocation Analyst on our Planning and Allocation Team, you will play a key role in maximizing the initial and subsequent distribution of product to our stores for assigned category of merchandise. You will partner closely with Merchant and Planning business partners to translate product strategy, ensure equitable inventory allocations and help develop allocation plans that improve the financial results for their assigned merchandise categories
Using your knowledge of retail math and merchandising knowledge you will support DXL's mission by:
Identifying opportunities for door expansion or reduction for assigned classifications through the eligibility process
Creating store grading by category to assist assortment planning and allocation strategies
Laying out the allocation strategy for each category prior to the start of a season and present to the team using the store grading, assortment plan and current trends
Completing weekly selling reports and recap key points to cross-functional team
Filling back product to sales on a weekly basis to maximize sales using appropriate variables in the allocation system as well as outside reporting and analysis
We're looking for someone:
With a Bachelor's Degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
That has prior allocation experience and working knowledge of merchandise allocations systems desired
With experience in a specialty retail environment (preferred)
With MS Office experience, including Word and Excel
Experienced with JDA Allocation or other allocation and replenishment systems a plus
Experienced with MicroStrategy or other data warehouse systems (a plus)
