Senior Project Manager

Contract Position

This position is supporting the next generation in developing mission critical systems for our national defense. You would be a part of creating the most effective and state of the art technologies for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance supporting the Army, Navy, Air Force, Special Forces, and other Federal Government agencies working with our military.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist with managing cost, schedule, and technical performance of programs to ensure project contractual work products are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Provide for an additional program interface with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Assist with the development of the performance measurement baseline and monitors execution, including establishment of and routine reporting on the technical performance, financial status, and program risks and issues.
  • Generate the Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR) in coordination with inputs from Control Account Managers.
  • Identify program problems and issues, and coordinates with the Program Manager, functional managers and customers to obtain solutions to obtain solutions.
  • Review reports and briefings prepared by staff for quality and compliance to contract requirements.
  • Provide oversight and management of supplementary technical instructions.
  • Support execution of program reviews (travel anticipated).
  • Prepare and deliver formal briefings (travel anticipated).
  • Comply with quality assurance and security procedures in the performance of duties.

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combined with 5 + years of relevant work experience; or Master's Degree combined with 3 + years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance
  • Knowledgeable of defense contracting and finance, including Earned Value (EIA-748).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Leadership and management experience.
  • Experienced with MS Office and related software applications.
