Audubon Engineering Operations LLC Field Technician I in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania
Audubon is currently seeking a Field Technician I to join our team either in Tulsa (OK), Houston (TX), Denver (CO), Midland (TX) or Canonsburg (PA) locations. The Field Technician I will assist in the daily activities related to the collection of data. This role will support the Corrosion Technicians in the field and complete daily assigned tasks.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Areas of Responsibility will include:
- Actively participates in company and client hazard identification and observation programs, and immediately reports any unsafe acts, conditions, or incidents to your supervisor.
- Performs tasks assigned by the Corrosion Technician.
- Maintains equipment.
- Listens to instructions provided by Corrosion Technician and is capable of working in a variety of conditions.
- Ensures that supplies and equipment are charged and stocked in vehicles.
- Must be self-aware of surroundings and environment.
- Must be capable of operating vehicles and equipment necessary to complete projects.
- Must be able to use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials and manipulating objects.
- Maintains and supports all equipment, including Allegro QX, MC Miller Soil Res Box, Trimble, Fluke Meter, Reference Cells.
- Participates in daily JSA with team members.
- Performs Field Surveys as needed, including but not limited to annual surveys, soil resistivity, LEF, EMF, CIS, and DCVG.
- Adheres to company quality standards and procedures.
- Dependable and able to work in a team environment.
- Communicates with supervisors and peers providing information by phone, written, e-mail, or in person.
- Capable of understanding and retaining job related vocabulary of the corrosion field.
- Dependable transportation to get to and from different job locations.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for the position:
- Minimum of a High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- 0+ years of relevant experience in the pipeline industry.
- Knowledge Requirements: Basic knowledge of pipeline industry and integrity/corrosion programs.
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation.
- Frequent standing and walking required throughout the day. Occasional climbing required. Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching, and twisting required. Frequent driving is required. May be required to lift 50 pounds.
- Up to 100% travel.
- Weekend, holiday, and out of town work probable.
- Proficient in the use of basic computer skills (MS Windows, Excel, Word, e-mail).
