DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Position Title: Business Analyst Intern

Role: The Business Analyst Intern is integral to the Tower Services Monitor & Control team, focusing on data analytics and reporting to drive business decisions. This role involves creating, tracking, and analyzing reports in Power BI and Power Automate, providing actionable insights to enhance tower services operations. Responsibilities include developing analytical tools, presenting goal status updates to leadership, and contributing to strategic planning. Ideal for analytical-minded students, this internship offers hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, underlining the importance of data-driven decision-making in telecommunications. Reporting directly to the Program Manager, interns will gain valuable industry knowledge and technical skills.

Responsibilities * Develop and maintain reports and dashboards in Power BI, ensuring accurate and timely insights into the Tower Services operations. * Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement, providing actionable insights to drive business decisions. * Create automated processes and reports using Power Automate, enhancing operational efficiency and data accuracy. * Present regular updates on the status of business goals and key performance indicators to leadership, ensuring clear communication of findings and recommendations. * Collaborate with team members to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for reporting and analytics solutions. * Participate in strategic planning sessions, offering data-driven insights to inform decision-making and goal setting. * Assist in the development and implementation of new analytical tools and methodologies to improve the monitoring and control of Tower Services operations. * Engage in continuous learning to stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data analysis and business intelligence tools.

Expectations * Demonstrates a strong analytical mindset, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights. * Exhibits proficiency in Power BI, Power Automate, and other data analysis tools, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. * Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences. * Works collaboratively with team members and stakeholders, showing initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving. * Adapts quickly to new challenges and changes, with a willingness to learn and apply new skills and technologies. * Maintains a high level of professionalism and confidentiality, handling sensitive information with discretion. * Embodies the organization's values, contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment.

Education/Certifications * Currently enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited higher education institution, with an expected graduation date between December 2024 and June 2026. * Preferred fields of study include Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields that emphasize analytical skills and knowledge of business intelligence tools. * Certifications or demonstrated experience in Power BI, Power Automate, or other relevant data analysis and visualization tools are highly valued but not required.

Experience/Minimum Requirements * Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) from June 3 to August 9, 2024. * Authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time, regular basis without the need for additional sponsorship. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proficiency in Excel and familiarity with SQL or other database languages considered a plus. * Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex data and analyse in a clear and understandable manner. * Detail-oriented with an aptitude for accuracy and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Reportsto: Program Manager

Work Plans: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in the office on Monday through Thursday.  On Fridays, teammates on the hybrid schedule will have the option to work from the office or home.
