Position Overview

This is a skilled position requiring the individual to perform maintenance and repair of all company equipment by performing the following duties. This position will be primarily a lube technician position. During the slow season the tech will be required to work in the shop performing maintenance on trucks and equipment.

Wage Range: $25 - $35 per hour, based on experience

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) Primary responsibility will be performing preventative maintenance services on trucks and equipment. Operates and inspects machines or equipment to diagnose defects. Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists and hand tools. Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections. Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments. Repairs or replaces defective parts. Services equipment as necessary. Lubricates and cleans parts. Welds broken parts and structural members. Must be able to function in the role with minimal interaction or supervision the majority of the time. Other duties assigned per supervisor.

Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Class B CDL Hazmat Endoresement

Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions
