3 Full Time Seasonal H-2A Jobs available 5/15/2024- 11/08/2024

Assist in planting, thinning, hoeing, weeding, and harvesting of various vegetables. Vegetables to include but not limited to; sweet corn, potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, pumpkins, squash, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, cucumbers, beans, and strawberries.

Hay and straw will also be harvested. Transplants and herbs will be grown in the greenhouse. Ornamentals will be grown outside. Use hand tools, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, & knives. Duties include tilling soil & applying fertilizers; transplanting, weeding, thinning, or pruning crops. Construct trellises, repair fences & farm buildings.

Set up & operate irrigation equipment. Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to plow, harrow & fertilize soil or to plant, cultivate & harvest crops. Repair & maintain farm vehicles, implements & mechanical equipment. Harvest vegetables by hand. Apply pesticides or fertilizers to crops. Inform farmers or farm manager of crop progress. Identify plants, pests, & weeds to determine the selection & application of pesticides & fertilizers. Clear and maintain irrigation ditches. Record information about crops, such as pesticides use, yields or costs.

Other general vegetable farm work as needed and instructed by the employer. Must be physically able to lift up to 75lbs on a consistent basis throughout the day. While working on the field, all cell phone usage is limited to emergency use only. Due to safety concerns on a farm, workers must understand basic instructions in English.
