The Defense Group of Leidos has an opening for an IT Inventory Management Refresh Lead at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland.

JOB SUMMARY: The AFNCR IT Services program provides support services for information systems for Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), and other Air Force activities within the AFNCR missions to include the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), leased spaces, and alternate sites within the National Capital Region (NCR). The senior leaders and national defense missions that are supported require that the AFNCR operations never fail, resulting in a fast-paced, challenging, but also rewarding environment. The major support areas are: Call Center, IT Desktop Support, Wireless Device Support, Server/Application O&M, Cybersecurity, Projects and Engineering.

The selected candidate will be an IT Inventory Management Refresh Lead in support areas, to ensure inventories are current, accurate, complete, and integrated with the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and other required Air Force tools.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leads inventory management assignments, guidance and advises team on refresh projects and performs technical work with the team.

  • Continually examines refreshment processes for necessary enhancements and identifying improvements to asset management and tech refresh processes by working with internal and external teams to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Regularly meets with government leadership and Leidos leadership and reports quantitative refreshment data and reports refreshment status to Government on end-of-life assets, processing and issuing refreshment, and final disposition.

  • Tracks quantitative performance of refreshment efforts, and ensures performance and output is on target and meets the required contractual metrics.

  • Continuously working to achieve over all objects both long and short term as a team member and individual contributor.

  • Leads efforts with lifecycle repository for all assets consistent with an Enterprise IT Service Management (EITSM) system of record (e.g., Remedy).

  • Directs team execution of validation of assets and ensures any asset changes are documented, ensuring inventories are current, accurate, complete, and integrated with the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and other required Air Force tools.

  • Leads asset refreshment and deployment efforts and assists team in performing the work in accordance with technical refreshment processes.

  • Carries out daily functions to assist with the life-cycle refresh of over 5,000 assets annually.

  • Coordinates and schedules technical refreshes appointments with organization points of contact.

  • Supports refreshment efforts by providing basic IT workstation setup and troubleshooting on asset deployment.

  • Occasionally travels to geographically separated locations within the National Capital Region to execute bulk technical refresh appointments.

Basic Qualification:

  • Requires a BA degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience, additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.

  • Familiarity with the accountability of a large quantity of IT assets (e.g., 60,000+) across multiple, geographic locations.

  • Able to effectively influence and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Excellent written and oral communication, including the ability to confidently present to all levels of management.

  • Experience working in an ITIL based enterprise IT environment.

  • Current CompTIA Security+ Certification.

  • Current DoD Secret security clearance or higher.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of logistics associated with the Air Force, Pentagon, Andrews, Bolling and/or AFNCR operations.

  • Advanced skill in Microsoft offices products, specifically PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Experience utilizing advanced features in Remedy.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $61,750.00 - $111,625.00
