Job description

U.S. Got People is searching for a dedicated individual to join our team of Referral Clerks at Camp Pendleton

Benefits for Medical Office Clerks

  • Most clinics at the Medical Center operate Monday through Friday!

Experience and Other Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED

  • 6 months minimum experience in a medical office setting

  • Typing speed of 50 WPM

  • An ideal candidate will be courteous and polite with excellent communication skill and experience with clerical duties (answering phones, data entry, scheduling, etc.)

  • The work is primarily sedentary. However, there may be some physical demands. Requirements include prolonged walking, standing, sitting or bending.

Job duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Identify and track eligible beneficiaries who are able to receive specialty care outside of the clinic

  • Track and monitor the flow of where beneficiaries are referred to

  • Generate weekly reports for referrals not activated, pending appointments, and no-shows

  • Communicate with Case Managers weekly as needed

  • Process monthly network referrals

  • Participate in weekly meetings

  • Monitor clinic queues to ensure referrals are closed within the necessary timeframe
