DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:  * Perform set-up, operation, and adjustment of automatic (Sub Arc and MIG) and standard welders on a variety of parts with assistance.  * Perform water test function on units.  * Make adjustments with assistance to wire-feeders, gas, and voltage controls as necessary.  * Follow parameters set by standard specifications to produce quality parts.  * Safely operate an oxygen/acetylene torch.  * Operate air arc equipment.  * Operate pattern torch.  * Report any defective material that is recognized.  * Knowledge of use of fixtures to hold items while being welded.  * Insure quality welds are being performed and documented.  * Assist other employees in setup and execution.  * Train and evaluate others as requested to ensure they are performing as required.  * Accurately enter time and labor reporting daily.  * Work safely and maintain a clean work area.  * Maintain acceptable levels of production.  * Change gas bottles and wire as needed.  * Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols.  * Basic math and reading skills.  * Ability to use precision measuring gauges and equipment.  * Must be a certified periodically to perform specific welds.  * Ability to stand for approximately 10 hours per day.  * Ability to lift and move a minimum of 50 lbs. approximately 3 - 5 times per hour.  * Ability to use a crane to assist in lifting parts from off skids onto work areas.   Education

Required High School or better.
