Provides recovery support and peer coaching to program participants. Required to attend DMHAS State mandated trainings delineating peer role functions, competencies, responsibilities, and orientation to DMHAS treatment initiatives. Works with individuals to support and strengthen their capacity to engage in personal recovery through wellness services, development of recovery plans/wellness recovery action plans, education on navigating treatment social services and recovery support programs. Provides both face to face and telephone support services based on personal choice and maintain aftercare contacts based on agency procedures.

Hours:

Full time, some evening hours required.

This is a 40 hour full time benefitted position which includes some evenings required:

  • 3.2 weeks of PTO in first year

    Minimum of Associate’s Degree preferred; High School Diploma required. Must have 2 years’ experience in the guiding principles of recovery that assist individuals to improve health and wellness, live a self-directed life, and to reach full potentials. CPRS certification (Certified Peer Recovery Specialist) preferred.
