HVAC Mechanic (CV2068-133) - Construction and Maintenance Division

We are looking for an HVAC Mechanic to join our dynamic and growing team. They will report to the Construction & Maintenance Foreman.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be our professional HVAC tradesperson

  • Perform troubleshooting, installation and maintenance on heating/air conditioning and/or refrigeration systems.

  • Coordinate preventative maintenance with internal staff and external contractors to maintain effectively equipment and systems.

  • Documents all work performed on HVAC systems

  • Keep accurate records for the Construction and Maintenance Department.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or GED,

  • Must have completed an approved program in HVAC and refrigeration repair

  • Three years of responsible experience in building maintenance including one year of journeyman-level experience

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as HVAC Technician in Commercial Refrigeration or Residential Heating and Air Conditioning service.

  • Experience with electric, gas & oil-fired heating systems.

  • Experience with both forced air, boilers, chillers and cooling towers

  • Strong working knowledge of duct systems and related components

  • Strong working knowledge of NFPA codes as it relates to HVAC systems. i.e. Duct detectors, fire dampers and working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, OSHA codes and practices.

  • Must hold a Universal chlorofluorocarbons (CFC) certification.

  • Must possess broad general knowledge of building maintenance and repairs including previous experience within a building maintenance environment

  • Must have a valid driver's license

  • Must be available for on-call days, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
