Job Description

Aerojet Rocketdyne, and L3Harris Technologies company, is seeking a Sr. Tool and Design Engineer to join our team in our Camden, Arkansas facility. In this role, the selected individual will design manufacturing tooling for the production of solid fuel rocket motors and warheads. This person will develop jigs, fixtures, lifting devices, and semi-automated equipment to cast and assemble the final product.

Essential Functions

  • Design mechanical equipment using PTC Creo and Windchill

  • Interface with production, program management and safety to develop requirements and tooling needs

  • Define existing equipment problems and design repairs and modifications

    Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 6+ years of experience in the design of tooling to support manufacturing

  • Experience using a solid modeling program such as Unigraphics NX, Pro-Engineer, AutoCAD Inventor or Solid works

  • Working knowledge of air controls

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance

    Preferred Additional Skills/Qualifications

  • Active security clearance
