Job Description:

Aerojet Rocketdyne, an L3Harris Technologies Company, is seeking a Associate Manager, Operations Manangement to join our team.

This position will be responsible for the oven monitoring team on off shifts along with being an escalation point for off shift support, as well as oversee operations and make priority decisions.

Essential Functions:

The successful individual will be responsible for manufacturing of high technology products that conform to contractual requirements for performance, reliability and any special characteristics. Assures that activities within defined scope are accomplished in accordance with Aerojet Rocketdyne policies, sound business practices and are in compliance with applicable regulations and requirements. Typically accomplishes results through hourly, non-exempt, or entry-level exempt employees. Monitors work operations on a daily basis and actively assists or provides direction to subordinates.

  • Provide direction to subordinates guided by established policies and precedents. Interpret and execute policies that typically affect individual employees of organization.

  • Provide technical and administrative supervision to multiple programs within the operations group in the manufacturing area.

  • Schedule and utilize personnel, material and equipment to ensure that production goals are met. This is accomplished by using lean manufacturing tools to orchestrate the production line activities. Ensure facilities are clean and maintained to support operations.

  • Establish and maintain a variety of records and reports monitoring internal operating controls. Monitor and update production boards in work areas. Respond to issues that arise on the shop floor.

  • Inspect and coordinate maintenance of equipment and the facility.

  • Provide specific training in manufacturing techniques, policies and procedures and/or safety and environmental procedures.

    Qualifications:

    Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, tactics, and employees within a team. Typically has strong knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization. Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 6 years prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
