County Of Isanti Customer Service Specialist in Cambridge, Minnesota

Performs work providing customer service and administrative support for the Finance and Property Services Division, including processing driver's licenses, vital records and marriage licenses, processing property tax payments and records, providing general customer service, assisting with election administration, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the supervision of the Customer Service Supervisor. Essential Functions To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Processes driver s license and Minnesota ID card applications as an agent of the State of Minnesota. Processes passport applications as an agent of the U.S. Department of State. Collects and records property tax payments. Receives and responds to department telephone inquiries and directs calls to other staff as appropriate. Performs data entry or clerical tasks in support of division functions including property taxation, property records, property assessment, payroll, accounting, and elections. Provides general and technical information in person and by telephone. Performs cashier functions for payments received by the department. Processes and reviews property transactions on legal documents for accuracy and completeness. Reconciles and completes driver s license reports to State of Minnesota. Prepares county funds for bank deposit. Assists in processing licenses and permits issued through the Finance and Property Services Division. Assists with election activities including absentee voting, equipment testing, and election judge training. Performs clerical tasks including preparation of outgoing mail, filing, scanning, and ordering supplies. Performs other related duties as assigned. Working Conditions Physical Requirements and Activity This work requires the frequent exertion of up to 10 pounds of force and occasional exertion of up to 25 pounds of force; work regularly requires standing, speaking or hearing and using hands to finger, handle or feel, frequently requires walking and sitting and occasionally requires reaching with hands and arms and repetitive motions. Sensory Requirements Work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound. Sensory Utilization Work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts and observing general surroundings and activities. Environmental Conditions Work has no exposure to environmental conditions; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).
