Greeters are responsible for welcoming and creating the first impression for guests. These individuals have the ability to influence the overall restaurant experience by their interactions that include providing table accommodations and offering menu recommendations. Greeters may be the final point of contact and have the ability to ensure guest satisfaction. If you have worked as a restaurant host or restaurant hostess, your skills are invaluable to the position of Greeter at Hyatt. Your restaurant job experience will give you the tools to be successful as a restaurant Greeter at Hyatt.

Greeters must have open availability and be able to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Greet every guest at the door and maintain a smile all the time.

  • Project a warm and friendly attitude.

  • Be knowledgeable about your restaurant menu, including ingredients and preparation techniques.

  • Be well versed in all hotel information, including other restaurants, and offered amenities.

  • Understand the local area and be able to discuss local history, facts, and places with guests.

  • Customize the guest experience by appreciating unique guest needs.

  • Place proper attention to taste, appearance, and presentation of all food and beverage.

  • Ensure tables are properly set and the surrounding area is clean.

  • Be resourceful and go above and beyond when fulfilling a guest’s special requests.

  • Anticipate the arrival of each course by preparing the guest’s table in advance.

  • Communicate to managers and supervisors of any guest concerns or issues.

  • The last guest enjoys the same clean and presentable experience as the first.

  • Adhere to all hotel and departmental standards and polices, including attendance, cash handling and side work responsibilities.

  • Complete all side work.
