SMMA Senior HVAC Mechanical Engineer (10+ years' experience) in Cambridge, Massachusetts

SMMA has an opportunity for a Senior HVAC Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of experience, the ability to lead a range of multiple design project types, and a good balance of leadership, technical, communication, and organizational skills. 

Our Engineering team is a part of an integrated, multidisciplinary design firm with a dynamic mix of architects and engineers. We offer a fast-paced, team-oriented, professional environment that promotes professional and creative growth.  We pride ourselves in having a culture that promotes a balanced life/work approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide project leadership from concept design through construction administration phases in a range of project types.

  • Guide and mentor junior team members through project design phases.

  • Represent the firm in client meetings and marketing pursuits.

  • Demonstrate experience with a range of system types and an interest in continuing to learn.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in building systems design and leading design projects

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • A PE is required

  • A PE is required Knowledge of Revit, Load Calculation Programs, MS Office
