This position will perform the tasks of a Security Assistant supporting the Visitor Service Center and will provide day to day operational support to the Industrial Security and Mail Services within Draper Security. This is a complex environment that demands superior customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
Receives and greets all visitors; directs visitors to the appropriate place or contacts appropriate Draper employee to accompany visitor. Answers general visitor questions. Issues and manages visitor badges and maintains visitor records of arrival and departure using the required databases and Visitor Management System (VMS). Responsible for processing incoming and outgoing classified visits through the Defense Information Security System (DISS). Assists in providing administrative support for SIMS (Security Information Management System). Enforces appropriate internal security directives. Performs all related clerical assignments as required. Additional daily functions may include badging, security briefings execution, processing incoming and outgoing classified visits and other related items. Emphasis is placed on presenting a professional image through a neat appearance combined with a positive and upbeat attitude. This role is the first point of contact for all visitors. Timeliness, dependability and ability to deal effectively with many and varied visitor needs.
Manage the administration of all Visitors Service Center tasks to include badges, database maintenance and ensure compliance related items are completed for the required access. Answers general visitor questions. Issues and manages visitor badges and maintains visitor records of arrival and departure using databases and Visitor Management System (VMS). Partner with internal groups to ensure all visitor management processes are adhered to while enabling the Draper mission.
Assist with the day-to-day operations of Draper's Personnel Security function for employees and nonemployees to include security briefings, badging actions and other related tasks. Complete and perform incoming and outgoing classified visits while ensuring accuracy.
Provide superior customer service to Draper community with emphasis is placed on presenting a professional image through a neat appearance combined with a positive and upbeat attitude. Timeliness, dependability and ability to deal effectively with many and varied visitor needs.
Candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, service oriented with the ability to work under pressure, be a self-starter and work well with all levels of management and staff.
Working knowledge of business software such as Microsoft Offsite Suite is required.
Clearance preferred, must meet requirements and be eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance.
A minimum of 6 months - 1 year of related experience.
