    Job Description

    LEAD ASSET MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, MIT Federal Credit Union (MITFCU), to coordinate Asset Management Department day-to-day operations to ensure a high-quality member service experience. Will be responsible for securing payment on delinquent student loans, real estate, and consumer loans while minimizing losses; work with the manager to ensure the department operates efficiently by reviewing collection queues and workload for effectiveness; assist with resolving billing issues and counsel members on the importance of making payments, maintaining personal credit standards, and payment alternatives; and assign accounts to collection agencies and legal firms, monitor collection activities, provide follow-up information, and monitor legal proceedings.

    Job Requirements

REQUIRED: at least four years of experience in collections; experience with auto repossession, foreclosure proceedings, and secondary-market loss mitigation; working knowledge of financial regulations; proven analytical skills and attention to detail; ability to review and analyze financial documents; excellent communication and leadership skills; and ability to resolve complex member issues. PREFERRED: associate's degree in finance or related field, and eperience with Fiserv DNA and collection systems. Job #24391-6
