    Job Description

DENTAL HYGIENIST, MIT Health, to provide appropriate dental care and oral hygiene instruction to patients. Will perform preventive and therapeutic treatments according to a patient’s individual needs, including coronal polishing, supra- and sub gingival scaling, root planning, placing sealants, application of fluoride, exposing and developing radiographs, and soft tissue management regimens as described by law; and assist in obtaining and updating clerical and clinical information and documenting same. Job Requirements

REQUIRED: registered dental hygienist with a license that is valid in Massachusetts; current CPR certification; strong communication and problem-solving skills; initiative; ability to work cooperatively with other staff members in the Dental Service; good eyesight, hand/eye coordination, and manual dexterity; and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
