Data Scientist, KAYAK Software Corporation (Cambridge, MA): The Data Scientist will work closely with marketing leaders to make better, data-informed, strategic marketing decisions. Will use analytical tools and techniques to extract meaningful insights from data. Work with marketing science measurement methodologies like Conversion lift on Facebook & geo-lift on Google, Marketing mix models, and Causal Impact. Perform end to end experimentation from formulating hypotheses, experiment design to collecting right data, doing power analysis to finally then completing and analyzing experiment results. Define new methodologies and advanced analytics techniques to measure and optimize the marketing spend in a robust manner. Experiment on marketing channels, primarily in AdWords, Facebook, Television, and YouTube. Analyze results from the on-site A/B testing platform. Responsible for measurement methodologies and impact analysis for all marketing campaigns. Create, validate, test, and update algorithms and models. Forecast business critical metrics and help marketing teams for optimizing budget allocation across marketing channels. Telecommuting from within the U.S. is allowed. Minimum requirements: Bachelor?s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Analytics or a closely related field. Special requirements: Must have any level of demonstrated knowledge of 1) data manipulation and extraction using relational databases (SQL); 2) kanban/scrum and agile framework; and 3) building mathematical models.
