The staff of the Cedars-Sinai Interdisciplinary Neurological Outpatient Rehabilitation Clinic work closely with the medical center’s medical staff to provide excellent and innovative care to patients requiring care due to post-operative and chronic conditions. This clinic is a fast-paced environment which requires the ability to work independently.

As an Occupational Therapist in the Cedars-Sinai Neurological Rehabilitation Clinic in Los Angeles, California, you will primarily complete evaluations and provide appropriate treatment interventions per policies, complete required documentation accurately and thoroughly within expected timeframes, utilize validated and standardized outcome measures to establish goals and demonstrate progress and patient rehabilitation prognosis. The occupational therapist also monitors and modifies the progress of patients assigned to assistants and demonstrates effective communication skills with patients, families, and care team members. The clinic has a robust clinical education program and participation in student training is also an expectation.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program is required.

  • Master's Degree Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program is preferred.

  • Doctorate Degree Completion of formal occupational therapy education is preferred.

License required:

Valid and current license as an OT in the state of California

Valid and current CPR certification: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)

Experience required:

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a practicing therapist and evidence of ability to perform at this level. A minimum of one years experience in neuro setting. Working experience with an electronic healthcare record preferred.

Physical demands:

Able to push, pull, lift up to 100 lbs on an intermittent basis; able to bend,stoop, sit, stand and walk without restrictions.
