BAE Systems Production Supervisor in California, Maryland

Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a motivated applicant with strong people and interpersonal skills to lead a production team.

Responsibilities will include:

Lead an integrated team of contractors and sub-contractors while maintaining high levels of morale, efficiency, and quality in the workplace

Interface with and maintain positive working relationships with on and offsite Government customers

Set goals and complete evaluations for employees

Ensure all prescribed training and certifications are completed for team members

Act as a mentor to develop and train team members

Write/review manufacturing, inspection and test procedures

Write/review defect reports from all aspects of the production process

Identify deviations in these areas and suggest/implement corrective actions/improvements

Perform quality inspections on products

Analyze current and new drawings for errors, typos, and or revisions

Ensure project requirement and throughput are met with predetermined delivery dates and production durations

Act as primary liaison for projects required metalwork, outsourced work and vendors

Reporting on project status

This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

High school diploma and at least 12 years of related experience OR Associate degree and at least 8 years of related experience OR Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of related experience

Two years of experience within the DoD or military

3-5 years of experience in cable, kit, end item, and/or related production for CID equipment

Experience leading and tasking a team

Experience tracking project performance (specific tasks, schedules, milestones) and reporting status

Experience managing project resources including personnel, budget, and materials

Experience using computers, Windows OS, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, Adept and SharePoint databases

Soldering experience

Cable fabrication experience

Quality Control experience

Experience using cable and harness production fixtures

Ability to read and follow processes, engineering drawings, change orders, and work instructions

Experience with drawing and technical data packages

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Knowledge of ISO 9001, Lean Six Sigma, and/or best practices

AN/UPX-24(V) or AN/UPX-24A Interrogator Set experience

Cable Fabrication Technician certification

Solder Technician certification specializing in SMT, Lead-free and through-hole

Quality Assurance Inspector certification

MS Project experience

Environmental Stress Screening testing

Experience troubleshooting electronics

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $75570 - $128480

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
