Responsibilities: Support the ISSM in maintaining the security posture of multiple programs and labs and serve as backup to both the Senior ISSO / Navy Qualified Validator and the ISSO. Provide cybersecurity support required to develop and monitor the Risk Management Framework (RMF) AandA packages supporting multiple programs and labs. Prepare and review RMF security artifacts required throughout the system accreditation period. Ensure applicable security processes are in place and exercised to maintain continuous monitoring status throughout the system accreditation period.

Prepare for and participate in security assessments and validations. Monitor security controls, POAandM, and assist in risk assessment processes. Assist the ISSM in developing and maintaining the security program. Provide support to the ISSM, ISSE, and ISSO to multiple RDTandE programs and labs. Engage in continuous learning to progress toward becoming a Navy Qualified Validator.

This role is an opportunity to progress toward becoming a Navy Qualified Validator, requiring a candidate with foundation experience supporting the RMF process and a commitment to excellence in cybersecurity.

Education: BS or BA degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Systems or a "Relevant Technical Discipline. Must have CompTIA Security+ certification.

Allowable Substitution: An AS or AA degree from an accredited university in a technical discipline or related field and an additional four (4) years of IT experience can be substituted for a BS or BS degree OR an additional six (6) years of experience may be substituted for a BS or BA.

Experience: Four (4) years of experience supporting RMF processes, preferably as an IA / Cybersecurity Analyst, ISSO, or ISSE. Demonstrated knowledge of federal and DoD security policies and procedures. Prior experience in DoD IA / Cybersecurity role preferred. Experience developing DON RMF and AandA packages. Working knowledge and experience with eMASS. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently, highly motivated, and a self-starter, as well as ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Other: Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.
