What you'll be doing
As part of the Fee-Based Solutions team, the Senior Manager will have a key role in the development and roll-out of the Unified Account program (UA), a key high profile strategic initiative for CIBC Private Wealth (Wood Gundy). The Unified Account platform will become the underlying portfolio management and trading system for all Fee-Based Solutions at Wood Gundy. Unified Accounts are the natural evolution of Separately Managed Accounts and Fee-Based Solutions. The CIBC Unified Account platform aims to provide a single account solution that holds multiple investment solutions or “sleeves”, and automates rebalancing and day-to-day cashflow management. The Senior Manager will be involved with the creation of platform features, implementation of the platform and provided targeted support to increase adoption of the UA program and the Fee-Based Solutions. The Senior Manager will work collaboratively in branches with Investment Advisors and other Wealth Management partners. The incumbent will report to and work closely alongside the Director to identify and execute initiatives across varying functional and operational areas to improve and enhance the UA and Fee-Based Solutions offering for Investment Advisors and clients.
Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview. Preferred work locations are British Columbia and Alberta.
The pay range for this role is $ 84,960.00 - $110,000
How You'll Succeed
P rogram Management. Work directly with the UA program management team to identify and develop platform features which support the use and increase adoption of the UA program by Advisors. Work with Change Management leads and Fee-based Solutions team to support phased roll-out of the UA program across region and assist with the development of support materials. Advocate for strategic improvements in the UA platform once implemented with Technology and Operations.
Relationship Management. Collaborate with the Director and colleagues in deepening the utilization of the UA program and Fee-Based Solutions. Act as a key contact and UA subject matter expert for Investment Advisors, Branch Management and internal Wealth Management partners. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key Fee Based Advisor supporters and other investment staff.
Business Development. Develop with the Director an action plan to transition and optimize Investment Advisor business practices through the use of the UA program and increased use of Fee-Based offerings (where applicable). Work directly with key stakeholders such as Practice Management, Training, Wholesalers and Fee-Based Product experts to execute relevant strategies to promote UA best practices and reinforce the benefits of the UA program, training and quarterbacking to resolutions any UA program challenges.
Operational Support. Business lead through development and launch of Unified Account program. Support the unification of the three fee based solution offering onto one streamlined and harmonized fee schedule. Identify opportunities for efficiencies in business practices to better optimize resource usage. Assess the operational challenges, and client and sales force impact related to changes to both the existing Fee Based Solution offer and Unified Account offering.
Who you are
You have a minimum of seven years of financial services, practice management or technology experience preferably in Wealth Management or an adjacent sector. It’s an asset if you have an understanding of Fee-Based Products such as Separately Managed Accounts, Discretionary, or Non-Discretionary programs, as well as strong familiarity with capital markets, retail investments, and market trends. It is also an asset to be able to converse in French.

You have Strong client service orientations skills and comfortable communicating with Investment Advisors and branch management. High degree of travel within your region can be part of the role
Strong technical knowledge You have advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel and other MS Office tools and enjoy analyzing data. It is an asset if you have familiarity with CGI Wealth360, SS&C, Broadridge.
