Hotel Arts Group Pastry Cook 2 in Calgary, Alberta

Hotel Arts is currently looking for a casual Pastry Cook! We are looking for someone who will consistently provide quality and production daily in an organized and effective manner. This cook will primarily be working alongside our pastry team.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Full time

  • Schedule: Flexible schedule is essential. Must be available to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays. 

  • Wage: $18.00 - $20.00/hour

The successful applicant will possess the following traits:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team effectively

  • Will ensure all pastries, desserts, and baked goods are prepared efficiently to standard

  • Ability to maintain food quality and presentation standards within a consistency based framework

  • Able to manage time with multiple tasks throughout a shift

  • High level of interest with food and have a keen interest in the culinary arts

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Displays attention to detail

  • Has flexibility towards their environment

  • Will ensure all mise en place is completed in a timely and efficient manner

  • Will ensure the cleanliness and proper storage of all food product

  • Will ensure all appropriate provincial health regulations and food handling techniques

  • Is mindful of maintain a clean and organized work area

  • Is aware of food cost, portion, and waste controls

Job Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar position and asset

  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
