Job Description

Maintenance Person - Overnight (Without Ticket)

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as inspecting, cleaning, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, addressing any issues efficiently and effectively.

  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or replacements.

  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address any maintenance needs or safety hazards.

  • Monitor the building automation system to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including equipment inventory and work orders (Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repair activities, work order and equipment inventory)

  • Assist with preventive maintenance programs to prolong the life of equipment and minimize downtime.

  • Perform minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC repairs as needed.

  • Assist with seasonal maintenance tasks such as snow removal, landscaping.

  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure minimal disruption to guest services.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Qualifications

  • Must be available to work weekends

  • Working knowledge of computerized Building Maintenance Systems is an asset

  • Working knowledge of HVAC and A.H.U. systems and chiller operations

  • Minor plumbing, electrical and carpentry knowledge

  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve

  • Must be able to work effectively in a high pace environment

  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to work in a team environment

  • Must be willing to learn, self motivated and be comfortable working in a technically demanding environment

  • Further training will be required and provided as it relates to property specific systems

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift

  • Must be willing and able to perform duties of a physical nature- often required to push, pull and lift heavy items (greater than 20kg)

  • Frequent standing and walking throughout shift for up to 8hrs

  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting

  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
