Job Description :
Job Responsibilities include:
- Operating the sit-down counterbalance forklift 80% of the day
-load and unload trailers
- freight counts
-sweep the docks and empty garbage
- leading a team of 2 on Sundays
Qualifications:
cross-dock
-LTL experience
-Dispatch knowledge
-freight paperwork
- previous experience from a transportation company
Schedule & Wage:
Sunday 14:30 to 23:00
Monday 14:30 to 23:00
Tuesday 14:30 to 23:00
Wednesday On call
Thursday 14:30 to 23:00
Friday 14:30 to close
Work Environment :
This is a cross dock facility. Their main customers are Victoria secret, bath and body works, eddy Bauer and Reitman's. Their goal is to have this as a strict cross docking facility but right now they do have some product sitting in the warehouse waiting for trailers- too much product and not enough workers to get it right onto the next truck. For this specific position they will be in the office environment 85% of the time doing the paperwork and setting the team up for success. They will be organizing the day. They will be expected to be very hands on though as well both helping on the forklift as well as hand bombing when needed. 27 doors but only 20 of the doors are in use.
