The Steel Detailer will be responsible for providing precise and comprehensive detailing services, ensuring structural integrity, safety, and efficiency in every project. Deliver accurate drawings, meticulous attention to details, and collaborative support to engineering, manufacturing, and installation teams. Essential Functions * Utilize SDS/2D or 3D software to create accurate steel models. * Apply industry-standard practices in steel detailing. * Interpret and analyze structural and architectural contract documents. * Collaborate with project managers and manufacturing teams to address design challenges. * Evaluate changes and revisions, reporting cost impacts to project managers. * Aid in programming steel processing equipment. * Coordinate material orders with Purchasing * Adapt designs to accommodate manufacturing limitations. * Ensure timely completion of drawings according to project schedules. * Collaborate effectively with team members. * Support sales, estimating and manufacturing functions as needed. * Develop tools and processes to enhance company performance. Required Education, Experience, and Training * Experience in creating shop drawings and steel detailing. * Background in manufacturing or construction industry preferred. * Experience with CNC programming is advantageous. * Preferably, 3+ years of relevant experience. Requisite Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Familiarity with structural steel and architectural drawings * Understanding of steel structures and components * Proficiency in SDS/2D and 3D AutoCAD; experience with Autodesk Inventor preferred. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. * Demonstrate proficiency in MS word and Excel.
