Gem State Staffing-Caldwellis seeking qualified candidates for aSeasonal Transportation Scheduler position at Idahos most famous potato company! This position will be assigned to work thru Feb 2025.

Job Description

This position coordinates & dispatches all movements for a trucking fleet across multiple regions. The Scheduler role ensures customer product movement needs are met and partners with internal production and material schedulers to ensure capacity is adequate to over service plants, warehouses, and other customers.

Schedulers are responsible for:

Role modeling and prioritizing safety at Transportation locations

Scheduling all assets across all terminals for a variety of commodities ranging from bulk to temp sensitive products

Creating, modifying, and reconciling all freight orders in transportation management systems

Partnering with non-Company contractors and resources to cover loads when additional product is needed to meet business needs

Documenting and escalating Truck Driver and/or non-Company contractor performance issues to the supervisors

Auditing daily volumes, confirming daily objectives are met, and recording variances or changes to shift schedules

Requirements

1-year minimum experience working as a dispatcher and/or scheduler

Strong verbal and written communication experience

Intermediate to advanced PC skills

Experience with trucking software

Pre-employment drug screen and criminal background investigation

Other Information

Knowledge of planning and scheduling in Transportation. Demonstrated understanding of Word, Excel, and Outlook. Aware of regulatory agency policies and procedures, such as FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, and EPA. Ability to establish good communication and interpersonal skills, along with identifying complex issues and problem solving.

Details

Night Shift positions schedule: M-F 8pm-5am

Starting Pay Rate: \$23.00/hr + job completion bonus

Payroll schedule is weekly, every Friday
