JOB SUMMARY:

The Welder/Fabricator on the Mechanical Integration team is an essential team member for our heavy equipment assembling process. This role will work on joining metal parts together using heat, pressure, and/or filler materials. The role is also responsible for preparing, fabricating, and cutting metal products. We receive our diesel turbine generators, and build custom, fully integrated housing units engineered from their specific needs.     JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks using various processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick).

  • Cut, shape, and assemble metal components according to specifications.

  • Inspect and test completed welds and fabrications to ensure quality and adherence to standards.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are in good working condition.

  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to meet project deadlines.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to welding and fabrication processes.

    REQUIREMENTS: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. 

  • 2+ years of welding and fabrication experience – preferable in a manufacturing or heavy equipment industry.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and designs.

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, twist, kneel, and work within tight spaces for the duration of the shift.

  • Proficient knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and any manual tools.

  • Proficient knowledge of safety regulations and necessary PPE requirements.

  • Knowledge of a variety of different welding techniques.

  • Knowledge of the manufacturing industry.

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong communication skills and awareness of others in movement

  • Ability to work under pressure and keep calm.

  • Able to work in a team environment and independently.

  • Quickly and accurately analyze and solve technical problems.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when moving materials.

  • Ability to work in all-weather conditions.

  • Perform work tasks with little or no supervision.
