Manufacturing Compliance and Training Specialist - Caldwell

We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands, phosphate mining, fertilizer manufacturing, farming, ranching and cattle production, and other enterprises related to agriculture.

Summary:

Provide support for training and compliance functions at the SWS Caldwell manufacturing facility. This is inclusive of operations, maintenance, ESH (Environmental, Safety and Health), quality, and developmental training. Stay abreast on all regulatory compliances, both state and federal. Enhance developmental opportunities and execute technical training strategies and initiatives that provide employees the skills to meet the expectations of their roles, enhancing their ability to achieve greater results and sustain compliance with all state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish standards, methodology, and delivery for training programs; continuous learning; and documentation.

  • Partner with leadership and corporate resources to determine instructional methods and effective execution of individual training, group instruction, workshops, computer-based training, and demonstrations; select appropriate courseware and training materials.

  • Develop and maintain knowledge management system at the location level (document/course library as well as LMS content).

  • Provide on-site support of the manufacturing operations by identifying risk as well as safety and regulatory compliance gaps either through daily assessments or participation in formalized internal audits.

  • Review effectiveness of training and offer alternative solutions to ensure objectives are met.

  • Support continuous improvement of the mill’s talent management program, to support employee engagement, growth/development, and retention.

  • Ensure all Mill staff are current on FSMA related trainings.

  • Advise management on updated regulations and policies.

  • Update policies and procedures based on changing regulations and laws.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

Relevant Experience:

5+ years related experience and/or training

Other Information:

Knowledge of learning management software. Demonstrate the ability to perform independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Windows, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong written and oral communication skills with strong presentation and facilitation skills. Ability to build strong relationships and networks. Ability to understand and communicate governmental regulations and processes.
