Neolpharma, Inc. Jr. Cost Accountant in Caguas, Puerto Rico

Overall Responsibilities:The incumbent is accountable for the ongoing analysis of sales, cost of sales and gross margins by product. The Jr. Cost Accountant also monitors the production activity and records the inventory valuation, analyzes the variances and processes constraints to provide an appropriate level of costing information to management.Primary Functions:•Manages the cycle of sales and cost of sales recognition.•Prepares detailed account analysis and reconciles sales, cost and inventory.•Prepares the journal entry as necessary to record the production activity and inventory movement from the system.•Processes raw and packaging material invoices and calculates the PPV.•Reconciles the purchase price variance at the end of the month.•Analyzes the production variances and, with the support of manufacturing management, prepares the monthly explanations.•Participates in the operational budget preparation and periodic forecast revisions.•Works with the Material Distress Review Board to identify and reserve and dispose of rejected and obsolete materials.•Prepares the monthly, quarterly and annual yield analysis for customer contracts.•Prepares a quarterly deferred variance analysis.•Responsible for cost and inventory monthly closing.•Performs other duties as assigned. Secondary Functions:•Supports the assigned department on a monthly basis with the analysis of Actual Expenses versus Budget variance.Requirements:•Associate Degree in Business Administration with concentration in accounting. •Minimum two (2) years’ experience in cost accounting, inventory control and performance variances analysis in the manufacturing environment preferred.
